Berkeley to Hold Public Meeting October 9, 2012 on Hwy 13 Corridor Improvements, 4-9 PM

On Tuesday, October 9, the City of Berkeley will hold a public meeting at John Muir Elementary School, 2955 Claremont Ave., to review and discuss Highway 13 corridor improvements made possible by the Caldecott 4th Bore Settlement funds. Discussions will focus on projects from the intersection of Ashby and Claremont Avenues to the Berkeley city limits on Tunnel Rd.

The meeting, which will take place in the school’s Auditorium, will have two parts:

1)     4:00-7:00 PM, Introduction and walking tour of project areas with City staff

2)     7:00-9:00 PM, Structured discussions of the project objectives, potential solutions, comments, and next steps

Interested parties who are unable to attend the walking tour with City staff are encouraged to walk through the project areas on their own before the October 9 meeting using the summary of objectives and potential solutions for each location as their guide.  The full meeting announcement and agenda are available here.

NB: If you plan to attend, please email Geoff Rubendall at grubendall@ci.berkeley.ca.us to ensure there are enough chairs, handouts, and light snacks for all participants.
