Oakland Public Meeting on Broadway Projects Between Keith & Golden Gate Feb. 21

Property Owner,

As you know, the construction of the “Fourth Bore” of the Caldecott Tunnel is well underway. Prior to the start of this project, the City of Oakland reached a settlement with Caltrans requiring that $8 million be made available to implement projects within the City of Oakland.

In 2010-2011 representatives of Fourth Bore Coalition, North Hills Community Association, Rockridge Community Planning Council, East Bay Bicycle Coalition, Temescal community groups (NOVA, STAND and ULTRA} and Rockridge and Temescal business districts participated in a year-long process to develop a list of projects to be paid for with this funding (see reverse).

Since this list was finalized, City of Oakland staff and our consultants have been working to develop detailed designs of the first projects on the list, including two on Broadway between Keith Avenue and Golden Gate Way:

  • #9: Broadway/Keith Intersection Improvements
  • #14: Broadway/Brookside/SR 24 On-ramp Intersection Improvements

You are invited to a public meeting at which City of Oakland staff and their consultants will discuss the preliminary designs ofthese projects, which are based on input received during earlier public meetings. Meeting participants will have the opportunity to comment on these designs and these comments will be considered as the project designs are finalized …

  • Location: Rockridge Public Library, 5366 College Avenue at Manila
  • Date & Time: Thursday, February 21 7:00-9:00 p.m.

For more information, please contact the city’s consulting Caldecott Tunnel project outreach coordinator, Victoria Eisen at victoria@eisenletunic.com or 510-525-0220.
